Tiffany (Kaufman) Prangnell, MPT, ATC, CLT-LANA, Cert. MDT

Tiffany Prangnell is the founder and owner of South Shore Physical Therapy & Sportsmedicine, Inc. She has worked in outpatient clinics since moving to Maui in 1999 after attaining her Master’s in Physical Therapy and Bachelors in Athletic Training degrees at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2004, she became a certified lymphedema therapist with training from a Foldi-based lymphedema training program in Tuscon, AZ. In 2005 she received additional certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) In 2006, she opened the doors of South Shore Physical Therapy & Sportsmedicine in Kihei. In 2009, the Kahana site opened to further serve patients on the west side of Maui. Tiffany received her certification in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy in 2010 after completing advanced coursework and passing the certification exam. This is an internationally renown training program for the Spine & Extremities. Tiffany has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2005. She has also been a active member of the Hawaii Chapter of the APTA since 2005. She is also a member of the Lymphology Association of North America. Tiffany enjoys running & also keeping up with her twin boys as well as spending time with her husband Ben.

Lisa Hoogasian, PT, STS

Lisa is a 1996 Physical Therapy graduate of Northeastern University, Boston MA. She received her STS (Strength Training Certification) through the IWA in 2000 and has over 300 hours in continuing education. Lisa has completed her course work in the Mulligan Concept: Mobilization with Movement, and is awaiting testing/certification. She has also recently attended McKenzie Part A, B & C & E. Throughout her professional experience she has had the opportunity to work with professional surfers on both the WCT and WQS Surf Tour. Lisa understands the importance of returning to work and play as soon as possible. She is an avid runner, surfer and retired gymnast. With over 14 years of professional experience; her last 10 years in outpatient orthopedics, Lisa offers excellence in evaluation, treatment and pain management. If an injury has you off balance, please speak to your physician to refer you to Lisa!

Thomas NJ Kowalick MSPT

Tom is a 2000 graduate of D'Youville College in Buffalo NY with a Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Tom has 10+ years experience in outpatient orthopedics and was a facility director of an outpatient clinic in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Maui. Tom is skilled in the rehabilitation of post-surgical clients and enjoys working with clients of all ages and with various musculoskeletal conditions. Tom currently plays baseball for the Central Rays in the Maui Adult Baseball League. He also enjoys camping, hiking and going to the beach with his wife, Erin and dog, Pe'a.

Samantha Stella DPT

Samantha Stella is a recent graduate of the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Samantha returns to South Shore PT as a Staff PT after finishing an affiliation with the clinic in the Winter 2011. Samantha has a variety of interests, including oncology rehabilitation, mechanical treatment of the spine, and sports related and running injuries. Samantha also enjoys promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through outdoor activities such as hiking and water sports. Samantha is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Kathleen Roberts MPT

Kathleen Roberts is a 1999 graduate of the University of Utah, where she earned her Master of Physical Therapy Degree. She has worked in variety of settings including outpatient, aquatic therapy, hand rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Kathleen has attended the McKenzie Institute courses A, B, C and D which included advanced coursework for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. She is in the process of testing and certification for the internationally renowned training program for the spine and extremities. Kathleen obtained the Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential, and worked for 4 years as the Program Coordinator for Maui County at a non-profit agency. She lived in Utah for 14 years, where she enjoyed skiing and snowboarding in the Wasatch Mountains. Since moving to Maui in 2003, Kathleen found a passion for surfing and also enjoys yoga, biking, swimming and traveling.

Susan holds a Associates Degree in Accounting. She is a woman of integrity and compassion and a welcoming face to patients arriving to our clinic. She strives to be diligent with her work by getting insurance verifications and paperwork returned in a timely manner. She takes pride in her work and is a true asset to our office. Susan spends her time off from work with her husband Mike and their triplet sons Isaiah, Joshua and Michael. She can be found watching her boys’ sporting events, exercising and attending church functions.
